Ballot Measures 2021

At the August 21st meeting of the DCSD School Board, three potential ballot initiatives were raised for consideration. Those initiatives were summarized as:

  1. Prohibition of using taxpayer dollars for union salaries (proposed by Director Richardson)
  2. Prohibition of using district resources to collect union dues (proposed by Director Gerken)
  3. Prohibition on the Collective Bargaining Agreement model (proposed by Director Carson)

The Board asked the public for input on the “Pros” and “Cons” for each and any “Questions” the public may have. The Board meeting on September 5, 2021 was the one and only time for public comment on these proposed initiatives.
